Wasabi Fish Lunch
1 TB of fresh lime juice
2 TSP of olive oil
˝ TSP of salt
1 TSP of Wasabi paste
2 TSP of Chinese five spice powder
˝ C of low fat plain yogurt
4 fillets of either cod or hake
First, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Then peel and pit the avocado, mashing it with the lime juice and wasabi. Grab the yogurt and whisk it into the avocado mixture. Whisk until it is nice and smooth.
Get out a shallow baking dish and place the fillets in the bottom. Drizzle the oil over the fillets and follow by sprinkling the five spice powder and the salt. Roast the fish for about 7 to 10 minutes. Take out when the fish flake easily with a fork.
Plate each fish and the drizzle with the avocado sauce.
This recipe makes 4 servings. Fish is often touted to be one of many stomach fat burning foods, and this recipe is only 230 calories per serving. Each serving also provides for a whopping 29 grams of protein, as well as 3 grams of fiber.
This Fish would taste great serve with Asian coleslaw or even some steamed veggies, such as snow peas, green beans, or broccoli. This will allow you to get in some extra veggies for the day and all the vitamins and nutrients that these veggies provide.
